I have had the unique
privilege of being raised in a godly pastor’s home. I was
able to observe and be reared by a pastor and church planter
in Oregon. Having accepted Jesus Christ as my personal
Savior at the age of five, I was raised to love God and in
turn to love other people. Although God began to direct my
heart toward full-time Christian service while I was in high
school, it was not until I was serving our country in the U.
S. Army that my call to the ministry was made clear. During
my military service, I was able to be mentored by Mark
Kittrell, who was planting a church in Oahu, Hawaii. Once I completed my commitment to the Army, I
attended Northland Baptist Bible College for my
undergraduate degree. While attending Northland, I met my
wife, Jennifer Ash of Fairmont, West Virginia. She graduated
in 2002 with her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education,
and we were married the following January. I graduated in
May of 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Bible and moved to
Plymouth, Minnesota where I enrolled at Central Baptist
Theological Seminary. We have been involved in a number of
ministries that we believe have helped prepare us for future
ministry. I graduated from seminary in May of 2007 with my
Master of Divinity degree and moved back home to Oregon to
plant a church in Bend. I am thankful for God’s faithful
leading and goodness to me in my ministry. |

I grew up in Portland,
Oregon and was saved at the age of five. The Lord blessed me
with a godly family and a biblical church in which to
develop as a child and teenager. I attended Northland
Baptist Bible College in northeastern Wisconsin. After my
first year at college, I realized that God was calling me to
full-time ministry. In preparation for the ministry, I
became involved in a number of ministries at college and
received a bachelor’s degree in Bible in 2002.
I next went to Central
Baptist Theological Seminary in Plymouth, Minnesota and
completed my Master of Divinity degree in 2006. God blessed
me by allowing me to work for Fourth Baptist Church in the
youth group, children and singles’ ministries. Through this
time I was discipled by the youth pastor, Josh Beers. In the summer of 2008 I married Amy Brumbaugh, and we are excited to minister together in Bend. We love our community here and look forward to seeing God’s work in the future. |
